Morning guys,I would like to introduce you a film Life of Pi today.
This film is about a boy's adventure with a Panthera tiger called Richard Parker for survival on the sea.The film used a flash-back narrative style to tell the story,which means the plots flowed with the memory of survived old Pi.It begins with a chat between Pi and a writer who is seeking for story for his new novel.Then the scene shifted to the childhood of Pi whose father was a zoo owner and Pi was brought up near the zoo.Pi followed different religions and believed in all kinds of god.He had strong curiosity about something mysterious but his father gave him lessons in reality,especially once he wanted to see Richard Parker by allure him.
When Pi became a teenage boy,the zoo went bankrupt and his family decided to move to Canada for a living.They brought the animals in the zoo to the ship.On a stormy night,Pi came out from the room to see the lightening but a huge disaster stroke the ship.The ship was almost destroyed and only Pi and some animals jumped into a small boat.At first,Pi was with four animals:a zebra,a dog,a chimp and a tiger.Unfortunately,the dog killed the zebra and the chimp then it was killed by the tiger Richard Parker,left only Pi with this beast on the boat.Pi struggled and thought of all means to deal with Richard Parker and the unknown future.He suffered from many trumbles on the sea.After a horrible sea storm,he fell into desperation and the tiger was also exhausted.However,he floated to an isoated island unconciously and got fresh water and food there.Richard Parker followed him for supplies on the island.At night Pi felt something strange and dangerous on the island so he left with Richard the next day.He prepared enough supplies and continued his wandering.
Pi arrived to Mexico beach after several days,and was saved by people who found him.Richard Parker went into the forest without a farewell to Pi.
At the end of the story,Pi said that when the two Japanese who worked for the ship company asked him the cause of the disaster he told them another story.The story shocked both the Japanese and the writer.But which story is true?It's for you audience to decide.There is no doubt that the story with the tiger is more charming and close to god.
