是专注于卫生领域的管理课程,旨在培养高级的医疗卫生事业的管理人才,是现在很火的一个方向.
Program Overview
Curriculum/delivery/assessment is structured in function of six taught modules:
Strategic Management
Accounts for Decision Makers
People and organisations
Marketing and Market Research
Health Cognitive Informatics
Health Sector Project Management.
In addition 60 of a total of 180 credits concerns a Health Sector work-based project/dissertation.
This is facilitated by:tutor supervision and work-based mentor and research methods teaching to include requirements of research risk,scrutiny and ethics committees.
Assessment
Course work and examination as per Module Descriptors and Dissertation/project.

Career Potential
Particularly in the last thirty years,we have seen that management and economics are essential disciplines in the training and development of Health Sector professionals.
This includes research and development,organisational aspects of health service,measurements of quality,cost / efficiency analysis.
We see today efforts in different countries to produce information technology platforms to accommodate electronic patient records and streamlined services.Professionals in the Health Sector also need to be updated continually on legislation and ethics and their application in day-today management,research and service practices.
This MBA award responds to continued development of Health Sector managers and to Health Sector organisations.Concepts and methods grounded firmly in practice will be the base of the curriculum.The award is a collaborative effort:UWIC Cardiff School of Management,UWIC Cardiff School of Health Sciences.
The award is pertinent for professionals from the Health Sector in its wider context,to include:
Public and private Health Sector management and practitioners (business managers,consultants,doctors,nurses/advanced nurse practitioners/nurse consultants,health professionals representing all hospital disciplines and care in the community)
Chemists
Laboratory professionals
Biologists
Pharmaceutical and medical device industry
Insurance management,sector related.
The programme is designed with an accent on the UK context; but through student recruitment from a variety of countries and group-work,the student at the end of the award will have also examined and critically evaluated management practice across national boundaries.
