西南联大中文系教授刘文典是著名《庄子》研究专家,学问大,脾气也大,他上课的第一句话是：“《庄子》嘿,我是不懂的喽,也没有人懂.”其自负由此可见一斑.这且不说,他在抗战时期跑防空洞,有一次看见作家沈从文也在跑,很是生气,大声喊道：“我跑防空洞,是为《庄子》跑,我死了就没人讲《庄子》了,你跑什么?”轻蔑之情溢于言表.好在沈从文脾气好,不与他一般见识.
