I quite understand you feel innocent that your German friend ignore you since last time you met.There is culture difference in different Country as you know.The " OK" gesture is North America,it means you agree somebody or you praise somebody.But in German,it has absolutely different meaning.It means you look down upon somebody.Your friend must misunderstand you at that moment.So,I would advise you explain your real meaning to your friend,that was a mistake but will never happen again.
This is also a good lesson for you to understand the culture and custom difference will cause some problem.There is also many other taboo that we should know in different country.For example you should never send the Comb as present to a Japanese,because the pronunciation of Comb is” death”.In some Muslim country,it is not good to explore so much skin in the air even it is in hot temperature .You need respect the different culture so that you can feel more easy to have friends around the world.
