楼上前两道题解释得不错了.
第一题,frightened表示被吓坏了,当然frightening表示吓人的.这里说小偷被吓坏了才能被抓嘛.Freeze本意是冻结,美国警察用来表示“别动!”
第二题,音乐听起来悦耳.A和B都是人主动听的,是动词；你看空格后面接的不是名词而是pleasing形容词,所以是sounds,表示系动词,相当于is.
英语中有些动词后面接形容词的时候变为系动词,如:His face turned red.他的脸红了,turn变成这里是系动词.其实看不看得出来是系动词无所谓,这不是关键,关键是hear是听到,listen是听的动作,sound是发出声响,当然有听起来的意思了
第三题,reading放在整句话的最后,表示伴随状语,伴随着他躺在床上的动作.eg:He walked on the street,singing.边走边唱.
伴随状语有点复杂,有好多种：
1.doing做伴随,例如上句
2.with 短语做伴随,例如：He walked on the street,with a bag in his hands.
3.独立主格,这个比较高级：He walked on the street,his brother following him.（his brother following有主谓的关系,称为独立主格）
4.形容词：He walked on the street,happy and excited.
5.名词：He returned home a rich man.
6.介词短语：He walked on the street in tears.哭着回家

2c sounds 听上去 系动词 后面可以跟形容词
