Writing a letter in English has a fixed format. On the top left-hand corner, you put down in the following sequence, date (the letter is written), name of the person to whom the letter is writen, sfollowed by his/her address. The name and address of the person who writes the letter is usually placed on the top right-hand corner. The letter usually starts with "Dear...," and ends wiith "Yours sincerely," and your signature.
