Summary
To set up acomprehensive evaluation system of coaches’ work in different sports,weestablish evaluation standard and scale by using different methods.Generally,we describe our metrics in 4 categories:working experience,coaching scores andability of training.In the incomplete Model1,we use the Variance Analysismethod to evaluate the significance of each metric.The most important metricsare working years,total games,total wins,andthe number of national champion,the number of conference title,and the valueof contribution they make for the professional league matches.
We combine themetrics into one metric,using the Analytical HierarchyProcess.This metric is the evaluation index.
Considering thedevelopment of different sports and spatiotemporal factors of coaches indifferent times,we decide to introduce the time factors into our Model2.
In order toimprove the model,we combinePrincipal Component Analysisand Analytical HierarchyProcess in model3.Principal Component Analysis can well suit to extract thestatistical characteristics of coaches’ multi-dimensional data.
We conclude that the excellent coaches arenot always who achieve more champions and those who can cultivate players canalso be considered excellent.We canalso make the conclusion that a coach’s ability should be measured in thecontext of the development of sport in his time.

To set up acomprehensive evaluation system of coaches’ work in different sports, weestablish evaluation standard and scale by using different methods. Generally,we describe our metrics in 4 categories: working experience, coaching scores andability of training.
