One day.Ben and Tim saw a thief in a supermarket. He was taking something then. Then he went out of the supermarket . He read a newspaper and waited for a bus . Then Ben and Tim saw him again. They reported the case to a policewoman. Then they all went to the bus station and caught the thief. The thief cried.
1. 首先see 是一个感官动词，不可以用于进行时态，所以第一句应该说Ben and Tim see a thief in a supermarket. 第五句应该是Ben and Tim see him.
2. reading a newspaper, 单数可数名词一般不可以单独使用的。
3.goes out of the supermarket, 从......出来应该加上of...
